Admission Procedure
Before applying to OCA, please review the information on our web site and/or in Student/Teacher Handbook so that you are fully aware of what OCA has to offer. All forms are available on this web site. The following is a step-by-step admissions process:

- Application – Please submit the completed application to the OCA office.


Student Application / Health & Permission Forms: required to be completed for each student enrolling; includes health information and medical treatment instructions; permission for attending school events, publishing photos and leaving school grounds.

- Covenant Agreement – All families must enter into a covenant with OCA to complete enrollment. This is a “Parental Understanding and Commitment” form, which states that you are in agreement with the policies of the school. Included in the covenant agreement is the OCA “Statement of Faith”. By signing the covenant agreement, parents partner with OCA to uphold the school’s Christian foundation.

- Reference letters – applicants are asked to submit two reference letters.

- Family Interview – An interview is scheduled with the Principal (if possible) and two (at most) school board members. The interview can include parents and students.

- Final Acceptance – the Principal (or School Board if Principal is unable) makes the final decision regarding acceptance, and parents will be notified approximately two weeks after receiving the full application and interviewing.


* In some cases, academic testing will be required – An additional testing fee of $60 will be charged to cover the costs of a proctor for the testing.

Fee Payment Options:

First payments are due in August. Parents may pay by 10 monthly payments (August to May), 20 semi-monthly payments (August to May), one lump sum due in August, or semi-annual payments made in August and January.


Bursary Program
To assist lower income families in sending their child(ren) to Oceanview Christian Academy, there is a Bursary Program available. There is an application process individual families will have to complete to be eligible for financial assistance for tuition.
